About Our League
$100 for the season. The league fee includes weekly/year-end prizes, league handicap system, and league management software. League handicap is based on league scores only and players are not required to use the GHIN system.
We have three flights for individual competitions - A, B and C groups and all based on league handicaps. We alternate team and Individual games. Sometimes we mix handicaps for team play, whereas individual play is flighted.
In 2023 we added a Solheim Event where the league divided into red and blue and competed for bragging rights and the league's Solheim Cup.

- LEAGUE FEE / Structure
Weekly play begins at 5:15 PM.
The weekly tee sheet is on our site, and players must register (or cancel) before NOON on the Monday before league play.
Weather cancellations are made day of the league unless there is a 100% guarantee of ominous weather the day before.
Usually, we have a dozen or so ladies that play 9 holes before hand (not league 9) to make it an 18-hole day. Those tee times usually begin shortly after 2 PM.
League captains enter scores into the system, manage registration with course, games and track winners, etc.

- 9-HOLE SHOT GUN START
This is a fun and competitive league. We do play by USGA rules, with modifications for our league to keep play moving. We mix cart partners each week so members get to know each other. If joining with a friend, just know most weeks you will not play together. All are welcome to hang out at the clubhouse afterwards and celebrate or commiserate their scores.
If you have a handicap established, great! If not, the first few weeks players will not be in for team prizes until one is established and the player is flighted into A, B or C. We have a max of 44 players. Returning players are offered spots for subsequent season. New player requests click below:

Individual
Competitions
Record only gross scores for the round; then, at the end of the round, subtract the person’s handicap for their Net score. There will be one low gross and one low NET winner in each flight. A Player can only win low gross or low NET (not both).
- Low Gross / Low Net
The Player having the lowest net score on each hole (from the entire field) wins a skin. If two or more players have the same net score on a hole, there is no skin. The skins game is flighted into A, B, and C Flights.
- Skins
- Players will record their gross/net scores for each hole, but only even or odd holes will count for the game. Lowest flight net and gross winners.
- Even or Odd Holes
- Track each putt from the green until holed. Track each drive in the fairway (excluding par 3 holes).
- Putts / Fairways
Earn points for a net double-eagle (10) eagle (8), birdie (4), (2) par, and (1) a bogey. Players will start with a negative score (hurdle) based on the handicap. The idea is to get from the negative to the positive, clearing your “hurdle”. (Most points win)
- Chicago Style
- Points are accrued on best NET scores for each hole as follows: Double Eagle – 5pts Eagle—4pts. Birdie—3pts. Par—2pts. Bogey—1pt. Add points on bogey or better holes for the better game score.
- Stableford
Team
Competitions
Use one player’s net score on each hole for twosome, or two players’ net scores on each hole in foursome play.
- Best Ball
The one best net score is recorded on par 5’s
The two best net scores are recorded on par 4’s
The three best net scores are recorded on par 3’s
- 3, 2, 1
The one best net score is recorded on par 3’s
The two best net scores are recorded on par 4’s
The three best net scores are recorded on par 5’s
- 1, 2, 3
- All players hit a tee shot. Pick the best tee shot and all players will hit from its location. The best ball is selected throughout the fairway and green until the ball is holed. If there are only three players, each player will alternate taking a second shot until the ball is holed.
- Scramble
- All players hit a tee shot. Pick the best tee shot and all players will hit from its location playing their own ball to finish the hole.
- Shamble
- Regular low gross/net, but after play, we will blind draw your mystery partner for a combined total net score to determine top 3 winners.
- Mystery Partner
USGA rules will govern our league rules for the most part. Some course rules are also taken into consideration and shared below.
We will ALWAYS hit from the red markers. THERE ARE NO MULLIGANS.
BUMPING YOUR BALL
- Bumping your ball IS permitted in the fairway/rough within 6 inches.
- You CANNOT bump your ball in a penalty area (bunker, hazard area) but you CAN ground your club in hazard (not sand bunkers).
- If your ball lands up against a new tree with black tubing around the trunk, you may move your ball within one club length, no closer to the hole.
PUTTS: To aid in the pace of play, we will have a gimme rule. A gimme is within the grip of a standard putter (from the bottom of the grip to the end of your putter. (If we are playing a game that is for putts, you will not be allowed any gimmes.)
SCORING: Weekly scores will be entered by the league coordinators and they will be entered hole by hole. To help with the pace of play, we will have a maximum stroke rule of +4 on any hole:
- § Par 3 – 7 stroke max
- § Par 4 – 8 stroke max
- § Par 5 – 9 stroke max
RAIN RULES: If we are instructed to play “cart path only”, “lift, clean, and place” your golf ball anywhere on the course. This will be announced prior to our league play. Lift clean and place means you can mark your ball with a tee, pick it up, wipe off the mud/debris, and then place the ball back where marked.
PACE OF PLAY
We encourage girls to arrive at least 20 minutes before your tee time. We are also in a race against daylight as an evening league. Each hole should play as follows: Par 3s - 13 minutes; Par 4s - 15 minutes; Par 5s - 17 minutes as a general rule. These will help everyone get in before dark:
- Try not to hold up the group behind you and try to keep pace with the group in front of you. If you arrive at a par 4 or par 5 tee box and the group in front of you is walking off the green, your group is behind.
- Play ready golf. If you are the first ready to hit, then hit as long as another player is not in danger of being hit.
- Keep small talk to a minimum while on the course. Save social time for afterward in the clubhouse.
- When putting, a good rule to follow, is to follow this rhyme: Closest to the hole, tends the pole; First putter in, replaces the pin.
- Plan your shot before you are “up”. Most of us have played this course long enough that we know what to expect. Take plenty of clubs with you so that you are prepared for whatever you judge to be the proper club when you arrive at your ball. This is extremely important when it is "Cart Path Only".
- Walk briskly between shots if walking to your ball.
- Walk directly to your ball and hit before helping others find their ball. They should be looking while you hit.
- Only one practice stroke. Be efficient with your pre-shot routine. 30 Seconds max is the USGA rule.
- Take only one look at your line for your putt. Don’t take a lot of time walking the green, focusing on all angles, unless you can do this BEFORE your putt, but be respectful of the other players on the green.
- Record your scores on the next tee box! Do not waste time scoring on the side of the green. Add up total scores in the parking lot after play. Don’t add them up at the side of your last 9th green.
League Rules of Play
DROP AREAS AND HAZARDS:
- Hole # 5. If your tee shot goes in the water, go to the fairway where the
ball went in and you will be hitting 3rd shot (1 stroke penalty). Do not go
to the drop zone on your drive. If your 2nd shot, or 3rd, etc., goes into
the water from the fairway, go to the drop zone. WE WILL ALL BE
HITTING FROM THE SAME DROP ZONE as the morning Wednesday
league so they should have a proximity marker. - Hole #6. If you put one ball in the water, this is a water hazard and you
should try again, taking a drop from where your ball entered the water in
line with the flag, and taking your penalty stroke. If a second ball goes in
the water, then you can go to the drop zone, marked by a proximity
marker on the green side of the lake. - Hole #8. If your tee shot goes in the water, you will go to the drop zone
which is on the south side of the water, marked with a proximity marker.
There are no other areas with a drop zone.
- Hole #1, #9. The right side is a red-stake, lateral hazard. A player should
drop a ball at the point of entry two club lengths from where it entered
and take a 1-stroke. You DO NOT have the option to go to the fairway for
a drop after hitting the ball into red & yellow staked areas. - Hole #10. If one ball goes in the creek, take a penalty stroke and try
again. If the second ball goes in the creek, go over the bridge and drop
to the left side of the cart path. - Hole #12. If the ball goes in the water, play it as a lateral hazard and
drop from where the ball entered the water. If the ball goes into the
street, hit your 3rd shot from the tee box as this is OB. - Hole #13. If the ball goes in the water at the lake or creek beyond the
lake, drop laterally from where the ball went in the water. We are
treating this as a lateral hazard. - Hole #14. If the ball goes in the water, drop laterally from where the ball
went in the water. We are treating this as a lateral hazard. If your ball
enters the creek alongside the east side of the green, this is also
treated as a lateral hazard and you may drop between the creek and the
green, but not on the fringe.
- NEW in 2025! Hole #16. If the ball goes in the water on your tee shot,
this is a water hazard and you may drop behind the lake into the fairway
keeping the line your ball went into the water, assessing a one stroke
penalty. If the next shot goes in the water, then go to the NEW drop
zone, adding a one stroke penalty.
- YOU SHOULD NEVER BE HITTING MORE THAN TWO BALLS IN THE
WATER ON ANY HOLE. IF TWO BALLS HAVE ENTERED THE WATER, ALL
FLIGHTS CAN GO TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE LAKE AND TAKE A
DROP.
RED/YELLOW STAKES
- Most wooded areas and environmental areas are considered lateral
hazards and you may take a 1 stroke penalty and hit the ball from where
it went into the woods/environmental area. Drop two club lengths from
the hazard line. - If a ball lands in a red or yellow staked area, a player has the option to
play it as it lies without a stroke penalty. (No bumping in the penalty
area, but you can ground your club.)
OB-OUT OF BOUNDS (WHITE STAKE/FENCE):
A ball is out of bounds when it lands beyond the white stakes or white
fence onto neighboring properties. IF YOUR BALL GOES OUT OF BOUNDS,
drop in the fairway, lateral to where it went out, and take a 2-stroke penalty.
(For example, you hit your tee shot and it goes over the white fence aligning
homes. You will go to a lateral area where the ball went out, drop a new ball
in the fairway closest to that area, within a club or two of the rough, and be
hitting 4.
PROTOCOL/TIME LIMIT FOR BALL SEARCHING
If you want to look for a lost ball, you only have 3 minutes to look for that
ball. Your playing partner should go to her ball and hit if she’s not lost, and
then, after hitting her shot, help you look for your ball in order to speed up
play.
